Sustainable Textiles

Sustainability and responsible sourcing:
The global textile and fashion industry have grown to be one of the most natural resource guzzling and polluting sectors. So, it’s our collective responsibility to protect our Mother Earth. We were amongst the first companies in India to start sustainable textile sourcing way back in 2004 for our long-term partner company in Australia. We take continuous steps towards making all our products in sustainable and as eco-friendly as possible. We are sourcing Organic cotton textile products which are highly sustainable, since 2004. we want to contribute to keep the earth clean and safe for our children and future generations. We strongly believe in greener and more sustainable future.

With ever-increasing awareness of slow fashion and sustainability, fortunately, there are many options of new-generation fibres, eco-friendly processes and sustainable packaging available now. We try our best to learn and use these available options to make as sustainable products as possible.

As a responsible organisation we are proud to be part of circular economy which bring major relief to the environment. Our associated factories are able to produce certified recycled products made from the made-made as well as cotton and regenerated cellulose fibers like lyocell made from recycled polymer.

For Majestic, sustainability is a way of doing business rather than just a concept. We have tried to adopt sustainability as a part of whole process. Hence, Apart from producing majority of our products in more sustainable and eco-friendly way, we have tried to use even sustainability in all processes of manufacturing including packaging. Many of our customers have stopped using traditional Polybags in the packaging. We are using Bio-degradable bags for packing. We promote fabric bags for the packing as rejected fabric from the same lot can be used to make bags, it helps to reduce the waste and lead to better utilisation of resources. We are using GOTS certified thread for sewing in organic products and we insist on buying products where, even for traditional cotton, only OEKO-tex certified dyed and sewing thread is used.

As a sustainable sourcing company, we work on mission-mode to promote eco-friendly fabrics, conserving energy, using natural resources and building a healthy as well as happy community for our employees and our associate companies. Many of the factories we work with are using more and more natural energy sources like windmills and solar energy. We promote tree plantation across all our factories to reduce impact of pollution as much as possible.

We ensure that all the workers in our factories are paid fair salaries and incentives. None of our suppliers are employing child labour in any of their premises. We are promoting BCI cotton made products to ensure all the the people involved in the process are paid fair price for their hard work.
Let’s join hand to work in association for sustainable textile solutions to protect future of our children.
